Osram coils and a crumple of tissue

A few days ago I spotted this light bulb hanging from a new section in Habitat, and fell in love with the old retro style. Now I KNOW we should be watching our carbon footprint and I KNOW we should be fitting energy saving bulbs everywhere (as I have) but if I'm being really honest I don't actually WANT energy saving bulbs everywhere because the ones we've got are actualy a bit shit.

But for now it remains wrapped in tissue paper. Not because I cannot bring myself to swap it with one of the slowly-brightening coily brutes but because we haven't got a single bluddy light fitting that isn't bayonet.
