inside the ipod

The battery life on my iPod has slowly deteriorated over the past few years. So today I decided to buy a new battery, new faceplate, and the tools to fix it:
"Are you sure you don't want to take it in?" a friend of mine asked.
"Yes," I declared, "I'm going to fix this all by myself so I can save a few bucks and have all the bragging rights when it works again!"

Well the battery power is fantastic (it is no longer powerless after 7 minutes), and the new faceplate looks spectacular.

But in the process, I snapped the wire that connects the hold button, so it no longer works, and I also damaged the screen, so I haven't a clue what I'm listening to.

On a lighter note, the circuitry inside the of the iPod (which is what I photographed today) is amazing to take a peek at!
