Checking out the new stuff

Is it an alien life form? No, it's the new sculpture in front of the new railway station in Uppsala. It's called "Chain of events" and was made by Tony Cragg.

The new station opened last Sunday, and the commuters arriving on Monday morning (including Z) was a bit confused for a while. It felt like arriving in a completely new city - it took a while to find the way back to the old one. :-)

Still a year or so before the last bits and pieces of the station area is finished - but it certainly looks like we're going to get a much better station.

The old railway station is now closed, and will be renovated to be used mainly for various restaurants and bars.
