Florida Day 1: Confused? Asking what happened to Chicago? I had been planning and plotting all of this since October and I finally get to talk about it now! Whew! We left Chicago early Wednesday morning. The kids had thought we were heading for home and Mr. Odd Days thought we were headed to Florida. BUT, I had another surprise in store. I did make arrangements to go to Florida for Girly and I but I sent Mr. Odd Days and The Boy to Missouri. They had the opportunity to visit the friends I stayed with back in October. Meanwhile, I took Girly to visit her very best friend. Friend now lives in Florida after living here for 3 years. A Coast Guard family. Girly and Friend will probably be lifetime friends. I was thrilled to be able to take Girly for a visit. This is the first time she's seen Friend in almost 2 years. And, it didn't hurt my feelings to hang out poolside in Florida for a few days either. :)
