Or Center Pivot Irrigation as it is called. Wells down to about 1000 feet draw water from the Ogallala Aquifer and make much of the bread basket of the United States possible.

This system in a wheat field is in the Oklahoma Panhandle with the small country town of Keyes in the background.

Note the tumbleweed caught between the two wheels.
