Our five mile world

Peel me a grape please!

Took Bill into Ninewells Hospital first thing this morning for his cataract op which according to the staff was a success.

Bill would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all concerned for their expertise and professional care. Thanks especially to Dr Stuart Roxburgh who has looking into Bill's diabetic eyes for 24 years now.

The NHS is something to be proud of. We are so blessed in this country with such superb care.

Dont ever take it for granted............... and dont knock it, I say!!!

Came out to find that I'd got a parking ticket in the hospital car park............I'd completely forgotten tpo buy a ticket Duh!!!

On our way home, we stopped at our local garden centre to buy him a new sun lounger,
so that he can work hard on getting a tan during the next four weeks. He's not allowed to bend or lift anything heavy in that time. He also said he's not allowed to wash dishes, hoover or cook......................... but I think he is making that one up!!!
The phone has been ringing off the wall with all oiur wonderful family and friends asking how the op went.

Also Bill says a huge thanks to you all for your warm wishes yesterday.
Much appreciated.
