Apples
Cox's Orange Pippin ripening on the tree. They have had a bit of frost on them now to speed up the process. I love to pick one warm with the sunshine. The flesh is snappy and juicy, and the rich flavour explodes in the mouth. It lingers on the palate for a long time after.
The crop is poor this season, but that's all right. Last year's crop was a bumper one and the little tree earned a rest.
