Time Fragments

WHO'S BEEN READING MY SUNDAY PAPER?

I got to this section before Mundy today. Knowing I would probably forget to return to the Poet's Corner, and thinking he wouldn't miss it, I cut out Daisy Goodwin's little column because I really liked the poem by Charlotte Mew. And it's aposite, because it's about Spring.

I So Liked Spring

I so liked spring last year
Because you were here:-
The thrushes too -
Because it was these you so liked to hear -
I so liked you.

This year's a different thing, -
I'll not think of you.
But I'll like the spring because it is simply spring.
As the thrushes do.

I also really liked the headline under Mundy's chin.
