Torch lily

It didn't flower last year, but it's flowered this year. Only one torch, though, and it's decided to droop and glow orange at ground level. The wasps love it!

A lazy garden day today, with two new members to the squadron. F and I then went to a friend's party in E17 (we rarely venture north-east so we were filled a little with Fear of the Unknown). However, it was a lovely party with many interesting people. The chimera (outdoor heater) almost cracked in two and we had much speculation about what we would need to do to stop the neighbourhood from burning down. I'm glad the chimera held it together because, as a result of the discussion we'd held, we'd be running to the hills leaving E17 to the wrath of the chimera's fire!
