Rock Star
For a little over two years now, I've had the honor, pleasure and thrill to make music with the Portland Cello Project. How I got involved with the group is a funny story (for another time), and over that time I've had some uniquely amazing and memorable experiences with them.
Growing up playing in orchestras, quartets, etc. I'd never had a chance to experience the "rock star" type of audiences/venues. But now I get to do things like last night - a group of five of us (out of the 15 or so that make up the whole Project) played a set with local sassy big-time rock star Storm Large (http://stormlarge.com/). She was her usual brash, funny, sweet self and I had a phenomenal time.
This shot was taken right before we started our set, as she was talking to the audience. I was sitting right behind her, so I was able to get a shot of her being swamped by the stage lights.
