Step on in, it's lovely

...not the most appealing thought when there is still snow on the hills and the river is just above freezing point.

But the sun shone and the lambs baaa'd and all was springy in the land of fishing and rivers. The fish weren't in quite such a springy mood and didn't make an appearance, but we had a great barbie of lovely sausages in the sunshine with a glass of red, some coffee and chocolate. Then a few drinks and a lovely dinner with Dave's family who came to see what this silly fishing game is all about, and Mike and 92-year-old Nadine.

Also fished tomorrow on the Tummel without any success, although Dave had a 'pull' from what might have been a big springer as the sky opened and dumped inches of hail and sleet. (First fishing day I haven't taken a picture since 2006. Bugger.)
