Golden welcome

Right now the town is awash with daffodils, and on a spring morning it looks pretty darned good. They may be late this spring but the yellows light up so many of the verges in the town and villages beyond. This flowerbed at the top of the Promenade is a combination of different yellows and golds.

As I passed by at the start of my commute, and popped out tourist-style with my camera to take the photo which I'd decided would be my photo at some point yesterday, it was raining, early and grey, the flowers were a little rain battered and close-up it wasn?t quite so impressive as it seemed. But I don?t have a plan B, and here, therefore, are the flowers in question. Still a good uplifting sight for just gone 7am on a rainy morning though.
