Fish Out of Water

This morning as I strolled for an hour of so down the beach, happily blipping away, I saw this little plastic fish. I saw real fish (dead) also, but this one seemed appropriate as I had been thinking about all the development that exists along the Australian coastline. Manmade objects intruding into a natural environment. Just like this fish. In the sister picture (looking the other way) were the high rise beachfront complexes of Maroochydore.

Sadly this kind of development is slowly coming to NZ also ...
