The true work of art is but a shadow ...
The true work of art is but a shadow of the divine perfection.

Happy Easter!
Today Charlotte and I were invited to my artist friend Jo's house for an Easter Egg Hunt that she organized for her niece and nephew and invited Charlotte along. At the time, I didn't think Charlotte was going to get an egg for Easter (what? Don't glare at me, but we still have Kristy Kreme doughnuts, 2 birthday cakes and cupcakes leftover from yesterday - there is only so much you can have!). However, Charlotte woke up early as her Nanny arranged an easter egg hunt for her. Eight eggs for one kid. Just a tad spoiled.
We arrived at Jo's an hour early to have a good catch up as I haven't seen her in a while. It's very surreal having a conversation with Rabbit skin glue staring you in the face ... on Easter. This is what Renaissance painters used to use on their works. Jo is using oil-based paints now and has found it to work wonderful - apparently. She's found this company that sells very good quality products, if you're interested.
The Egg Hunt in her house/studio was extremely fun. The kids were told to look in all the cupboards and drawers - not usually something kids are told to do in other people's houses - but it made for the funniest, quirky egg hunt ever.
Hope the Easter Bunny was kind to you!
