Split pine cone

A rather grey, lightless day today. Quite appropriate I guess since the clocks went back last night. I found a split pine cone out walking the dog. Actually, I think Luca split it, he does like to chonk on them and crunch them up for some reason.

I liked the textures and colour..although I desaturated this one a tad.
