(D)oves not a competition, but I'm winning

Well it would have been a mundane blip of some decking, having spent the best part of Easter Saturday helping bro-in-law (see yesterday) lay down some wood.

Alas, on returning back to Chez Grandmama I received an e-mail with the rather splendid news that the British band Doves (who regular DP observers will have noticed I'm slightly obsessed with) decided my slightly tinkered B&W version of this blip of them live was good enough to win their photo competition.

Along with some goodies and guest list passes they're going to use it in their forthcoming best-of album artwork, out Tuesday - nice!

Oh, and it's on the front page of their website too.

I'm on cloud 9, slowly floating away....
