Brigsteer Woods
Every year without fail for 22yrs now I have been going here with Mrs Wild. She 1st introduced me to the wild daffodils here before we were married. It is a magic place and is never the same twice. Best time to visit is late March Early April. If you want to go it's right on the southern boundary of the Lake District near Kendal. We didn't just have a trip to see the dafs but walked up onto Scout Scar for a great view of the snowy Lakes mountains. Finished off by a visit to Sizergh barn farm shop. We were only supposed to be going to buy some dry cured bacon but came away with £30's of other goodies and no Bacon!
