Any man who reads too much and uses his own brain too little falls into lazy habits of thinking
~ Albert Einstein
I wouldn't exactly say I had a thinking day, but it was a very relaxing day with books. No alarms were set, but we all woke up around 8/8.30 but just relaxed in bed (although Michael didn't last long as he had an idea for a project he's working on and wanted to get it on paper). But Charlotte and I enjoyed a relax until about noon, when we were called to the Brunch table for a fabulous meal.
After, I finally finished a book I've been reading for a couple of weeks (Alchemist and the Angel by Joanne Owen) and started a new one (The Ring is Closed by Knut Hamsun). I started to write a review but easily was distracted by twitter (nothing new there) and emails.
My other distraction was a new app game I'm testing called Ultimate Alphabet. I've been tweeting with the developers for a few months now and they asked if I would mine testing it. I have to be completely honest and say I hadn't a clue what the game was about or what to expect. Michael was sent the details on how to download the game (since it's his phone... for now). But remember when I mentioned that we have a reputation for having one of everything? Well when Michael came in with the phone, he also brought two books... yep, he had a copy of the Ultimate Alphabet by Mike Wilks AND a copy of the rarer Workbook that list the objects needed to find. The game is totally addicting - it's a cross between Where's Wally and I Spy with a hint of Professor Layton feel to it. You need to click on everything that starts with an 'A' then spell it out. Luckily, you have options for hints. Seriously getting 4 /5 rating from all three of us.
Also managed to wrap all the presents tonight while Little Miss was distracted with a game downstairs. Now if only she will shut up about them...
