White Pelican

I'm told the bump on the beak of this pelican means he's ready to mate. Poor bird, there are no white pelicans around here this time of year. This pelican has a damaged wing and cannot fly, so he lives year round at Lake Merritt's bird sanctuary. It seems to be a decent life, plenty of food and rest, but this time of year it may be frustrating.
