Anhinga chicks

Today I spent a very happy day with EZhighway, who took pity on my inability to get close enough to chicks in the nest and flying raptors, and invited me to join him for a day on the river. The weather was perfect, and the air was thick with Osprey; the Green Heron paraded up and down his railing, and there were great Blue Herons galore. EZ was a marvelous host, from the moment he had to come out and find me on the road, guiding me in like an air traffic controller, until the time he set me on the right road home; (it is really not that difficult, but I was being directionally challenged today). He fed me on succulent home smoked ribs and potato salad, and showed me the secrets of teaching insects to skateboard. I did, however, have to sign a Non Disclosure Waiver and I would have to be deprived of food for at least three hours, before I would give up his secrets! In the end, I boiled a days shooting down to two pictures that particularly pleased me; the Osprey on the wing and the baby Anhingas, Since baby Anhingas have not featured on here before to the best of my knowledge, that is the picture I chose to blip. Thank you EZ!
