Red-tailed Hawk Down
Hawk migration is in full swing here in Toronto. We have hawks year round, but for a few weeks in spring the returning hawks seem to be everywhere.
I saw a pair of Kestrels this morning doing their courtship flight over the busy streets.
And after work I saw a big bird perched on top of the law courts. I thought, "Pigeon?, no, looks a little big". So I went closer and it was a Red-tailed Hawk. Just as I got my camera into position a crow attacked it and they went flying off, the crow chasing the hawk. They landed in a tree and rested for a few minutes and then they were off again.
The bottom bird is the hawk. And this is the middle of a big city!!!!!
I wonder what I'll see tomorrow?
So...off to watch TV for a while, then commenting later I hope!
