Remnants

We had a day off today to wandered Ho Chi Minh city. Took our victuals from a fantastic breakfast at the Caravelle Hotel. If you find yourself in HCM and need a good breakfast, go here. Those french were good for something.

It was pretty hot so we alternated between a cafe and the Independance palace, the markets and the art museum. Took lots of cool photos (if I do say so) but this one will be the blip. It is the jeep used to take the South Vietnamese President to where he signed the surrender at the end of the war. It is housed in the palace where meeting rooms and banquet halls rub shoulders with radio and map rooms, shooting galleries and kitchens. It seems as though the place stopped the moment the war did.
