Exclusive dining
A fantastic night with Jason and Jenny started at the Soho Theatre bar, but we soon wanted dinner and hunger anxiety made us choose a restaurant close by. Normally, I would have assumed that Quo Vadis was too posh/expensive/booked up, but we just went for it. The receptionist raised an eyebrow and asked, "Did we like each other?" (An odd question, I thought, seeing as we asked for one table.) She meant that she had a table, but it was in a room of its own, so we wouldn't have other diners around us. This was great! The wine (blipped) was lovely, the food was amazing and the bill was actually quite reasonable. We enjoyed looking at the wine list to spot the most expensive wine and champagne - thousands of pounds!!
After dinner, we headed back to the Soho Theatre to see Krystle Warren. This was the second time I've seen her and the first time that I've heard her play her own songs. The theatre was wonderfully small, and Krystle was such a warm, funny character, with a fantastic voice. She had us all singing along. I met her afterwards and was really taken by her sparkly enthusiasm. I hope she makes it big.
