A fairytale...

Beside our pond is a little stone seat.

It's made out of slabs of slate we found in the garden.

It is set into a small mound, shaded by 2 very small sycamore trees.

At the moment it is surrounded by grasses, marigold, cranesbills, poppies, tansy and chamomile.

There is only room for 1 person, a book and a cup of coffee.

It is my favourite place to sit in the garden.


I did so today. Today the sun shone. Today a little frog joined me and sat beside my feet.

I did not kiss it. It was far too pretty.
