Borneo mystery

This tiny carved wooden object was brought back from Borneo by my father on one of his many entomological trips around the globe, about 10 years ago or more. The main body is about 1.5 inches or 30mm long. We have no idea what it is but it was obviously designed and made with great care. I thought I might tap into the huge knowledge of the blip world to see if anyone knows something about these objects. Any nuggets of knowledge gratefully received!
