Nature's sign of Resurrection
With Spring comes many signs of new growth. A multitude of flowers and plants 'come back' from the ground to live again. That analogy parallels the Christian's belief in the Resurrection of Christ.
One of the signs that a friend recently brought to my attention is that of the pine tree. New growth in most, if not all pines (which are abundant down here) appears at the end of the branches. The formation resembles that of a cross for a brief time in its annual life cycle.
Look closely in the top, right hand portion of the photo and you will see that growth in the shape of a cross.
There is a story regarding dogwood trees that relates to biblical history as well. I will try to depict and explain the dogwood's bloom in a future blip.
