Ring the changes

I wasn't at work today, but what with being indoors and the weather being so horrid (although not as bad as in Edinburgh, which is where I'm meant to be right now) exciting views are thin on the ground.

This is a very pretty ring my auntie Arlette gave me last Christmas. It's unwearable but beautiful to look at and takes a reasonable picture. Now I look at it with this macro view, it does have a touch of the christmas baubles about it.
