the attic...was it traumatic?
a visit to the attic yesterday...well, not exactly a visit, i was waiting by the ladder for "A" to handle me different things...never been into the attic really...i said to myself that i had to be systematic and tackle it ruthlessly
"Bring the past only if you are going to build from it"
Doménico Cieri Estrada
well, that was the idea. i've always been a pragmatic, avoid the past as i think it makes you static and also...
"You can clutch the past so tightly to your chest that it leaves your arms too full to embrace the present."
Jan Glidewell
and also convinced that...
"The one charm of the past is that it is the past."
Oscar Wilde
...i'm also pretty dogmatic and insist that less is more..."A " probably thinks i'm fanatic but he's too diplomatic to actually say it. - or is it 'cause i'm charismatic?
and now? it this behaviour symptomatic of a rheumatic mind?
should i blame blipfoto for this erratic behaviour? after all, blippers keep saying it's an addiction...
"A box without hinges, key, or lid, yet golden treasure inside is hid."
J. R. R. Tolkien
perhaps I should stop trying to hold on to things? after all, how much of the past does anybody really need to keep? so perhaps snap them -photographically of course - and let them go but...look what i found!...! (to be continued...)
Sealink; no longer exists; gone in '96 - now PO ferries
GLC: abolished in '86 by "you know who".
ILEA: gone forever abolished in 1990
Nuclear power: a "yes, please" - if we're not careful
(i told you...the past is better left alone.)
