offcuts

I managed to fit in some research time today. I'm working on a wee project with Tim exploring the idea of making things out of one piece. It's been done for years but we're makng it harder: how about one material, no joins, no fixings or glues and completely flat pack and no tools or instructions required... then maybe we could apply these rules to tables, perhaps out of aluminium.

This is some of the leftovers from one experiment I managed today. I combined making the mock-up with figuring out our new laser-cutter (or lazy-cutter as it is being called).
