Sliders

So, what has happened...

I have been thinking about light and dark, and of course, negative space.

bluesheep showed me this.

The stencil city image has been adjusted for fewer shades of grey, very contrasty, i.e. make the darks darker, the lights lighter until there are fewer shades or tones of black or white. It worked very well with the buildings. So I wanted to try that.

So, I did.

But I had to figure out how to do it... thus the sliders!

In iPhoto, Aperture, and Photoshop there are sliders for adjusting the grey scale lever, luminescence, color channels, and such.

I used the RAW adjustments and luminescence sliders to create this effect.

I wanted to enhance the black surrounding the image.

So now I need to find some better subjects.
