That's right, the bunga reya. Or as we say in the west, the hibiscus flower.

This one was atop Penang Hill which I had almost to myself. Ordinarily I would be unhappy that the 25p funicular was being upgraded and I'd need a £12 4WD; and that the whole population is thereby economically excluded from its own park. And I am.

But it was nice to have the place to myself.

Then on to the temple at Air Itam which you'll have to trust my having been to as forgot to take an iPhone photo to blip. Doh!
