Engaged

Our friends Nicola & Patrick held an engagement party this evening in Waxy O'Connor's. A very happy event. Nicola was just off a plane after two months in Malawi working in hospitals there. They were engaged just before she left, so tonight was a Welcome Home celebration too. We wish them both well as they plan their The Big Day - probably May 2011.

I had never been to Waxy's before. I liked the layout, lots of small areas, Irish bars, leather couches, and loads of Irish memorabilia and photographs.
