Other lives

Went for a talk tonight - a friend of mine was a nurse on the Canberra during the Falklands war. It was - interesting - but so much more, shadowy lives lived with things happening that one cannot dream of. Like these headstones (from outside the building the talk took place in), they appear out of the darkness, indefinite yet present.
