Lord Arthur Savile's Crime - with Lee Mead
Made famous by the reality TV show "Any Dream will Do", Lee Mead has moved on from Joseph and is doing his first straight acting role in the Oscar Wilde play "Lord Arthur Savile's Crime" in which he plays Lord Arthur Savile.
I went along to see him in the matinee performance in Malvern, where he played the title role, a very stereotypical English aristocrat in this farcical and typically Wildean melodrama. He burst into song at the end which was, frankly, a highlight ! (Although it was hugely entertaining....)
Before the show we briefly went into
Malvern Priory
one of the oldest places of worship in the UK (900 years old and amazingly beautiful,
and saw in addition to the wonderful stained glass and architecture
the old clappers
