It's raining, it's pouring...
We awoke this morning to a soft and steady rain, which briefly tried to pretend it was a thunderstorm with one long thunderclap and an -almost- hard downpour, captured here.
By mid-day the rain had given up entirely, the sun blasting out from behind rapidly disappearing clouds so quickly the puddles on the wooden decking were steaming. The sky turned a brilliant blue before giving way to yet again more clouds.
It was a good day to be home with my angel and we both worked diligently through our 'list of things to do' until the sun came out and we had to be outside for a while. We found a stash of small and brilliantly polished rocks amongst the tiny driveway pebbles, and although we were unable to figure out why they might be where we found them, we were able to satisfy our mutual fascination with rocks in general, and pretty rocks in particular, and fill a glass vase with our treasures for indoor display. That shot almost made the blip, but the rain was more interesting - always the blip-dilemma: shoot the hum-drum of real life or something slightly more interesting??
