Jail Blocks

These are the stones that once housed inmates of Calton Jail, Edinburgh, until 1930. Now reassembled as the construction of Hopes Reservoir.


Beware, tomorrow is apparently 'Earth Day' and between the hours of 8.30pm and 9.30pm many have signed up to sit in candlelight with unplugged TVs and computers!
