Cucumbers

These are Bari cucumber seeds given to us by our garden blogging friend Kate in Australia who came to France last year and gave us these seeds. She was given some seeds by an Italian family in Australia who had been growing these cucumbers and saving the seeds for decades since they brought them from Bari in Italy. Kate then saved the seeds from her cucumbers and passed some on to us. So in a way they've been around the world and back again, returning quite near to their origins in Italy!

I sowed them today and will plant them out in the garden in May, hoping to have cucumbers by July.
