Funky springish shot!!!
Ok, so here on Cape Breton Island we grow our luscious little sprouting green shoots in a very funky manner......i think these are going to be daffodils....but it's hard to tell right now, and Terry can't remember what might be planted where!!!
Another day in the glaze lab which was very productive and the kiln is loaded and ready to be fired....it'll fire overnight and be ready to open friday morning!!! I've come to the conclusion that I actually really love glaze testing....how can this be, i've tried so hard, for over 20 years, to avoid this aspect of being a potter....how crazy to finally find out that i actually love this process.....maybe i'll just keep doing glaze tests and never settle on anything in particular!
When Terry and i went for our after work walk, it was so dreary, misty and slightly drizzly....I spied these little green shoots and of course got very excited, like most of us, any sign of spring is almost too much - then when i was checking out what got me so excited i was somewhat disappointed, I mean, it was a pretty boring little image....so now that i've found the liquefy feature in photoshop, I don't know if i'm ever going to be able to stop.....it's so much fun! I love painting, especially with oil paint, and this is kind of like that but the structure is there already, i just have to move my little mouse around and amazing things happen!!! ok, i know that many of you more sophisticated blippers out there are going 'ho hum.... been there done that' but i'm telling you, i'm hooked!
Off to turn on the kiln!!!
