Biodiversity dung

Went to an excellent talk this evening about gorillas, the bushmeat trade and transborder organised environmental crime rings in the DR Congo. This picture was shown by Ian Redman, an amassador of Year of the Gorilla, who illustrated the importance of gorilla dung in distributing big tropical tree forest seeds. The picture above shows a little ecosystem growing in a piece of gorilla dung.
