Quaaaaack?

I got up today greeted by my Dad and a bag of bread crumbs and him saying "LETS GO FEED THE BIRDS!" err okay Dad, please remember im TERRIFIED of big birds.. He seemed very excited and i didn't have much else to do so off we went...
We went along to Mussleburgh as there is lots of bird there, various breeds. It's a very popular place for gulls and swans, tame and massive
I crouched down beside a wall to take some photos of birds just in their natural habitat and doing what birds do really. I was focusing and concentrating really hard to what i think would have been a good photos, until i heard what sounded like a leather belt being whipped across the cobbles. I quickly turned my head, keeping my camera in place (not for long.) When i looked round i saw this swan that was about... im not going to guess the height but it was bigger than me... It was pretty close to me, fair to say, i quickly jumped over the wall and was hesitant to go back... i was greeted with my Dad laughing at me as he had watched the bird approaching, i wasn't impressed.

I've not done many photos of animals so this isnt the best but i'm trying to get more opportunities to take some :)
