Water tower

My husband and I live in a mid-Missouri town called Moberly. This is one of its water towers. As you can see, it is quite unremarkable, an apt epithet for the town itself. It wasn't always this way. In the late 1800s, Moberly was dubbed the Magic City, thanks in part to its explosive railway-driven growth. Today, however, it is little more than a poster child for Walmartization and downtown decay.
