Deep tread

About a week ago, I saw this Ford F250 truck in the parking lot of an apartment complex. The parking lot is raised about four feet above the pavement and so I was afforded a great view of the tires and over-sized Fabtech Dirt Logic 4.0 suspension struts. Who comes up with these names?

The shots taken on that occasion were ousted from contention by something else and also the fact that I did not get the composition quite how I wanted it. Since then I have walked past the apartments in the hope that the truck would be parked in the same place.

Today, I was in luck and in more ways than one. First, the truck was there; second, my brain was back to functioning in creative mode.

I have struggled somewhat during the past two days of shooting, taking a shot and then several hours later realizing that there was an even better shot to be had if I had only taken my time and thought more carefully about what I was shooting.

Today, I was definitely thinking about what I was shooting and took my time to eventually come up with this shot.
