Inky Leaves

Cycling along the canals around Victoria Park

Dinner at Hattie's

Packed in a bus like chocolates,
We're on our way to Hattie's.
All cloaked up in coats,
Like paper wrappers.

It's raining on and off outside,
The pavements are all aglow.
With reds and oranges of street lamps,
Whose reflections are all on show.

Proud and vain are the lights,
Which dazzle me as a fledgling.
Carving bright colours through the night,
Like the first flowers of Spring.

So we get to number thirteen,
Where we are greeted by an extraordinary scene,
Of cabaret masters,
And circular doors,
And some of Hatties finest cuisine!

Unfortunately I soon became tired,
As the evening transpired,
I fell asleep,
In a heap,
From a week of being totally wired!

P.S. Cosmic house Hattie, cosmic food, soz I drifted off, it had been a major week.
