Success!

00.02: four bikes. Check. Four riders with aching backsides. Check. One-and-a-half tents up. 300km done, all well.
00.21: two tents up. Time for a kip until 0400.
00.22: snoring galore.
04.37: boys on the road again. Surprisingly chipper.
05.01: tents packed up. Support vehicle on the road.
05.32: emergency arse butter stop.
06.05: last supported stop in Marong. First sightings of other cyclists. Drink bottles filled, pockets loaded with food for the last 30km.
06.39: accidental detour meant we got to check out the competition - our boys are way better. We now have a massive screw stuck in the car wheel. Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick...
07:19: bacon and egg McMuffin on the run. Loved it.
07.24: J and R race for King of the Mountain points on the last hill. J by a wheel. Idiots!
07.36: cars at the end. Bikes to come.
07.48: marvell-arse arrival of Team Arse Butter.

Top job boys! 376km (4 more than anticipated due to one wrong turn) in just under 24 hours. All survived. No stacks. No injuries, but 4 very tired cyclists... and three tired support crew.

Now home, showered, napped and waiting the arrival of home delivery indian for dinner. Top weekend.

Backblipped yesterday - click back for the first bit of the adventure, including a little bit of roadside air guitar...

Edit: this photo is of a very happy R (not J!) looking like an Olympian at the end of the ride. He was asleep at the breakfast table not five minutes later...
Edit #2: for all those who think he's a hottie - sorry, he's taken!
