Red Grasshawk Dragonfly

Went out for a 'Walk' with my other half, this morning, to a place called bukit mentiri.. Bukit means Hill.. so you can imagine there were a few of those involved..

It was about 0900... and the most lovely walk as Most of it was under the shade of the forest trees..

we came across this Dragonfly sat on a fern stem.. he was very compliant as i spent ages fiddling with my camera.. trying to get it to focus.. I do struggle with macro type things..
BUT i didnt give up... and was very pleased he stayed still for me..
