almost spring

Yesterday it was 60+ outside, today the last day of winter has brought what may be the biggest storm of the season. March is the snowiest month on average in Denver, and this year it is just starting to live up to averages.


Oh yes I almost forgot this is the maple that has appeared in several blips, not beacuse it is striking, but because it lives outside the back door. It was featured in full flower earlier inthe week. If we are lucky it will get cold enough to perform an abortion on the Siberian elms and Silver maples, otherwise we'll be overrun with seedlings. Nothing like pulling hundreds of elm seedlings out in the gardens at work. Last year a similar storm blasted everything.
