Cathedral of the Waterways
I spent today Museum hopping! I needed to pick up equipment and clothing we need for next week's education sessions.
While in Northwich I called in to the Anderton Boat Lift visitor centre and Country Park for lunch.I know the phrase is used a lot but this is a remarkable piece of Victorian engineering. It was restored a few years ago and open to the public again in 2002.It provides a 50 feet (15.2 m) vertical link between two navigable waterways: the River Weaver and the Trent and Mersey Canal.
It is also a great place for wildlife, I spotted my first bumblebee of the year while having lunch!!
Have an enjoyable weekend and relax if you can! Monday comes around to quickly!
