Fly free

Jess came over for breakfast this morning and we had bread, jam and fruit on the terrace under blue skies and palm trees- for someone that's just emerged from a very cold winter that's pure joy.

We spent the morning wandering along the banks of the Tonle Sap river and then back to the Foreign Correspondents club for a drink. Along the way we saw these rather sad little creatures. You pay to have a bird released and it brings you good luck but apparently the birds are trained to fly back again! They can't hate it too much.
The 'F' as its known is an amazing place to drink, ( we only had a tropical Lassi) very Colonial and apparently famous beyond the borders of Cambodia.

Just of to a Khmer wedding - the only stipulation is that you don't wear black, a reference to the dark days of the Khmer Rouge. I have gone for a very English look with a tea dress from Kath Kidston, it does cover all necessary bits!
