Toots in Solitude

By Toots

The calm before the wild breeze

Change of plan for daffodil watch, but they have visibly stretched this morning, I'm sure.

('Toots in Solitude' is the title of an American novel so perhaps I should have encased it in quotation marks for my journal name. Oops, don't sue). This is a book I was given many moons ago and I've yet to read it. I know it's about a man, who, in search of solitude reverted to his childhood nickname. Cheek. My childhood nickname was Toots. It's no name for a man surely.
