Wanderings & Witterings

Trees, branches, arms, legs

I decided to walk along a different stretch of the Forth & Clyde Canal from my usual haunts this afternoon. Took the bus over to Bishopbriggs and walked down to what used to be known as Bishopbriggs Sports Centre, but is now called (officially at least) the Leisuredrome Leisure Centre - leisure being more appealing than sport, perhaps? - and joined the Canal there for my walk eastward to Kirkintilloch.

The brightness of the morning sun had given way to a grey afternoon - apparently rain is forecast for tonight - but it stayed dry and, as you can deduce from the photograph, there was little or no wind to spoil my walk.

It perhaps wasn't the most scenic of walks today, given the conditions, but I was quite taken by the reflections of the bare, winter trees on the water. When I got home (catching the bus from Kirkintilloch) it was apparent that I took quite a lot of shots of reflected trees. Most of these photos are now somewhere in my computer's Recycle Bin awaiting deletion, but I kept a few and picked one for my daily blip.

This photo would make quite a good image for Hallowe'en I think - he's coming to get you, wooo!
